Description:
The TrailerBridge is a power line communications device. This device connects on one side to CANbus and sensors, on the other side to power lines. The signal are send over the power lines to another power line device like iBridge or TrailerBridge)
The power lines do not have to be powered, just connections over electrical conductors is possible.
The advanced technology gives you a stabile and high performing connection. Depending on the quality of the wiring, power lines can be longer than 40 meters.
This device can be connected to CANbus systems according to the ISO 11898 (5 volts) systems. The 2 bi-directional CANbus port is optical isolated.
The ISO11992 Port is a CANdiode port made for 24 Volts CANbus systems. The ISO11992 CANbus can be read without interfering with the signal.
The I/O capabilities of the device are designed to gather data and store it in a event recorder. When the device is not communicating with another power line device it will store the events and start communicating these as soon it is paired. With the extended configuration capacity you can configure advanced processes inside the device to perform control, process tasks and eent recorder routines. Event driven situations can be handled up to a 100ths of a second, and with the non volatile storage, a limited number of data values can be stored.
