Description:

The J1078 to CAN is an advanced RS232 to CAN and J1708 (J-bus) interface. This device can be connected to CANbus systems according to the ISO 11898 (5 volts) systems and J1708 systems. All ports are optical isolated. 

The CANdiode port is an optical isolated  CANbus port designed to read CANbus data from CANbus systems without interfering with the electrical signal. The port only reads and can not send data or influence the signal levels.

The  bi-directional CANbus port is a full functional port. The J1708 port is capable of reading and sending J1708 data.. The bidirectional RS232 port has extended capabilities like binary and ASCII support, checksum, handshake etc. The device can be configured via the iConfigure software. With the extended configuration capacity you can configure large and complex processes inside the device to perform any control and process task you can imagine.. Complex event driven situations can be handled up to a 100ths of a second, and with the non volatile storage, data values can be stored.
