Description:
The Tacho to CAN is a automotive device to be connected to a 1318 analog tachograph. These tachographs are used in Europe for mandatory working time directive purposes. The device connects to the optical output of a tachograph and deciphers the data. This data can then be send over RS232 to the Telematics systems.
The CANdiode port is designed to read CANbus data from CANbus systems without interfering with the electrical signal. The port only reads and can not send data or influence the signal levels.
1 output port van be used to drive a buzzer, when this buzzer signal is shoReal Time Clockut a latched signal is generated and can be used to steer other processes inside the device. The 40 day circular memory stores the actual speed every minute and the work states when changed.
The bi-directional CANbus port is optical isolated and is a full functional port. The device can be configured via the iConfigure software. With the basic configuration capacity you can configure simple processes inside the device to perform control and process tasks. Events can be handled up to a 100ths of a second, and data values can be stored in non-volatile memory.
