Description
The Truck TrailerBridge is a state of the art solution for a reliable communication between truck and trailer. The concept is based on power line communications; the data is send via existing wires in the 15 or 7 pole connector between truck and trailer. The recommended wires are left rear light and ground wire. On both the truck side and the Trailer side devices are installed. That’s it.
It is possible to identify the trailer or the truck, gather data from sensors in the trailer like temperatures, door openings and brake data or other CANbus systems like weight systems or cranes. If the connection is lost, the trailer data can be stored in a internal event recorder. As soon the trailer is connected again the event data (with timestamp) is transferred to the truck.
Data store
The Trailer Bridge is equipped with a circular memory. In this memory events can be stored. Events are stored with time and data and a value. As the device is configurable the events can be stored on change, after exceeding limits, dependent on other events etc. This makes the data store a versatile Trailer memory. Imagine what the possibilities are:
- Unattended monitoring of cargo temperature
- Trailer Usage information
- Identification and history of which trucks have connected to the trailer
- Door open - close times
- Diagnostics event logging.
- ....
On connection with a truck, the memory can be read and send.
All process logic is configurable with the iConfigure program. This makes the truck TrailerBridge also the right choice for demanding customers or special projects.
