Squarell is the easy way to interface CANbus

- How do I get CANbus data into RS232
- How long will it take me to develop?
- How much knowledge do I need?
- Do I need to learn programming?
We have the answers and the products!
Squarell has a wide range of CANbus interfaces. With these interface you can create any interface solution within hours.
You can interface between CANbus, J1939 CANbus, FMS CANbus, RS232, K-Line or J1587/J1708. And this is made easy by the iConfigure software. iConfigure is a “fill in the panel” program to configure the Squarell devices. With some experience in programming you will create your solution in no time.
Some possibilities:
J1939 interface: J1939 is a protocol used in automotive and off-road. With Squarell it is extremely easy to capture or send J1939 data and process the data in a Squarell device. It is also easy to get or send the data into other protocols. We deliver examples so you can start right away. The J1939 protocol implementation supports fragmentation, text handling, source address claim, destination addressing, source address selection, etc. OEM and system integrators use J1939 interfaces to extend connectivity or interface incompatible systems.
FMS interfaces: Fleet Management Standard is a subset of the J1939 protocol. The FMS is found on European trucks. Many telematics suppliers have a standardized support for FMS. Squarell products are used to act as a FMS interface, FMS translator or a convertor to translate proprietary CANbus systems (Vans and Cars) to FMS. Squarell FMS interfaces are very popular at telematics companies and fleet owners.
Tachograph interfaces: These interfaces are used to support the mandatory tachograph in European trucks. It reads the data from the tachograph like driverID, workstates and exceptions and combines this with the vehicle data from the truck. The Squarell solution has many advantages over the manufacturers solution like: Always on, 1 protocol for all truck brands and models, DriverID available, easy to install. The tachograph interface is mainly used by telematics companies and system integrators.
J1708/CAN interfaces: J1587/J1708 protocol is found in American trucks, some European trucks (Renault/ Volvo), industrial engines and Off-road. The interfaces get, send, translate and process the data. The J1708 data can be combined with the data from the extra CANbus ports. Very well suited for telematics and special projects, in generator-set and marine applications.
CAN to CAN interfaces: This product is used for protocol conversion and baud rate adaptation. In cases when 2 CANbus systems have incompatible protocols the conversion is programmed. Optical isolation and special firewall options (CANdiode) create robust and reliable solutions in a few hours. The CAN to CAN interface is popular by OEM and system integrators.
Development of interfaces: In many cases our customers ask us to configure the Squarell device to implement their interface specifications. We have the ability, knowhow and service to do this for you. That means you have your interface within a few days for fixed price and date. It saves you time, money and risk. Just rely on us.
